Day 1
Arrival and Leisure in Barkot
Your spiritual pilgrimage to Uttarakhand begins upon arrival at Haridwar/Dehradun Airport. A friendly driver will greet you and whisk you away to Barkot, a charming town nestled amidst the Himalayas. After checking into your hotel, spend the rest of the day at leisure, acclimatising yourself to the serene mountain environment.
Day 2
A Pilgrimage to Yamunotri
Day two marks the beginning of your sacred journey with a pilgrimage to Yamunotri, the source of the holy Yamuna River. Rise with the early morning sun and embark on a scenic drive to Jankichatti. From there, embark on a short trek to the revered Yamunotri Temple, nestled amidst breathtaking mountain vistas. Seek blessings at the temple, soak in the spiritual atmosphere, and return to Barkot with a sense of peace and fulfilment.
Day 3
Uttarkashi & Vishwanath Temple
Bid farewell to Barkot as you journey onwards to Uttarkashi, another sacred town on the banks of the Ganges River. En route, make a soul-stirring stop at the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Upon reaching Uttarkashi, check into your hotel and prepare for the next day's pilgrimage.
Day 4
Seeking Blessings at Gangotri
Day four is dedicated to Gangotri, the origin of the mighty Ganges River. Embark on a captivating journey through the scenic Harsil Valley, marvelling at the majestic Himalayan landscapes. Upon arrival in Gangotri, visit the sacred Gangotri Mata Temple, a revered pilgrimage site for Hindus. Offer your prayers and immerse yourself in the spiritual aura of this holy place.
Day 5
Rest and Rejuvenation in Guptkashi
Travel to Guptkashi on day five, situated amidst the majestic peaks of the Kedarnath range. This serene town provides a perfect base camp for further exploration and serves as a place to rest and rejuvenate before embarking on the challenging yet rewarding trek to Kedarnath.
Day 6 & 7
The Enchanting Trek to Kedarnath
Rise early on day six and prepare for a physically demanding yet spiritually enriching trek to Kedarnath Temple, nestled amidst breathtaking mountainscapes. After reaching the temple, seek blessings from Lord Kedarnath and experience the tranquillity of this sacred abode. Spend the night in Gaurikund, a serene location near the temple, before trekking back to Guptkashi on day seven.
Day 8
Journey to Badrinath via Joshimath
On day eight, embark on a scenic drive to Badrinath, another revered Char Dham pilgrimage site, via Chopta, a picturesque hill station known for its meadows and natural beauty. Make a significant stop at Narsingh Temple in Joshimath, dedicated to Lord Narasimha, an avatar of Vishnu. In the evening, enjoy leisure time or attend the divine Aarti ceremony at Shri Badrinath Temple, a mesmerising spectacle.
Day 9
Exploring Badrinath's Sacred Sites
Begin day nine with a refreshing dip in the holy Taptkund, believed to possess medicinal properties. Afterward, dedicate the day to exploring Badrinath's numerous sacred sites, including the Badrinath Temple, Mana village (the last village on the border of India and China), and the Vyas Caves, believed to be the meditation grounds of sage Ved Vyas. Later, depart for Joshimath or Rudraprayag for an overnight stay.
Day 10
Departure with Divine Blessings
On your final day, enjoy a hearty breakfast before departing for Haridwar/Dehradun Airport. As you journey back, carry with you the divine blessings received throughout your pilgrimage and the cherished memories of your spiritual odyssey through the sacred land of Uttarakhand.
